Displays for next-generation smartphones, AR/VR devices, and automotive systems all require more bandwidth than ever before. Using a combination of VESA Display Stream Compression (DSC) with the MIPI Display Serial Interface (DSI-2) technology, designers can achieve display resolutions up to 8K without compromise to video quality, battery life or cost. This presentation will showcase a fully integrated off-the-shelf display IP solution consisting of Mixel (C-PHY/D-PHY Combo), Rambus (DSI-2 Controller), and Hardent (VESA DSC) IP that delivers state-of-the-art performance. Display use cases addressed by the integrated solution will be discussed. Audience Q&A follows the presentation.
As Mixel's marketing manager, Justin Endo oversees marketing strategy and customer engagement, from Mixel's headquarters in San Jose. In this role, he manages Mixel’s exhibition presence at industry events, press releases, white papers and promotes Mixel’s mixed-signal IP portfolio in various industry media. Additionally, Justin serves as MIPI Alliance DevCon committee Chair. He holds a BA, with a double major in Economics and French, from the University of California, Los Angeles and an MBA from The University of Melbourne – Melbourne Business School.
Joe Rodriguez is a Product Marketing Manager with the Rambus Controller Group. He is an expert at Memory IP and MIPI controller IP for Enterprise, Cloud, Networking, IoT, AI and Mobile applications. Before joining Rambus, Joe held Product and Technical Marketing Management positions at the Mentor Graphics Design Verification Division. Prior to that, he was an expert in emulation as a Field Engineer for Cadence Design Systems and a Modeling Engineer at Synopsys.
Alain Legault is VP IP Products at Hardent where he is responsible for spearheading the product definition and development of its semiconductor IP portfolio. He has more than 25 years of experience managing multidisciplinary engineering projects and developing video-related semiconductor products. He holds a BSEE from the Polytechnique Montréal.
